Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application SpeedClimbingTimer (bundle id com.speedxclimbing.www, the “App”) handles information. The App is provided by the developer (“we”, “us”) as a fully offline timing tool for speed climbing.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require an account, does not connect to the internet, and does not transmit any data to us or to any third party. All data you create in the App (climber list, race times, on-device history, recorded videos) is stored only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App or use the in-app RESET / clear-history control.

2. Device Permissions

The App requests only the minimum permissions needed for its core function:

Camera — used only when you actively start recording, to capture video of the climb. Videos are saved to your photo library only; we never access, upload or share them.
Microphone — used only while you are recording, to capture ambient sound together with the video.
Photos (Library) — used to save recorded videos to your photo library, and to read and replay videos you have saved there.
Text-to-Speech (TTS) — used to speak the start prompt and the result announcement. Speech synthesis is performed on your device using the system voice engine; no text is uploaded.
Audio / Media — used to play the start signal, per-second ticks and the finish tone.
Vibration — used for a short haptic buzz on each stop and at the finish.

The App does not request or use location, contacts, calendar, clipboard, Bluetooth, or any network (internet) permission.

Recording is always started manually by you. If you do not open the camera window, the App performs pure timing only and does not access the camera or microphone.

3. Data Sharing

Because we collect and transmit no personal information, there is nothing to share, sell, rent or disclose. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting services that leave the device.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All data lives locally on your device. To delete it, uninstall the App or use the in-app RESET / clear-history control. We retain nothing on any server.

5. Children's Privacy

The App does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because it collects no data at all, no child-specific information is processed.

6. Security

Because the App operates entirely offline and stores no personal data, there is no transmitted data to protect. Locally stored results and videos are kept within the device's normal app sandbox.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
