This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application SudokuCat
(bundle identifier com.shudunicegame.www, the “App”) handles information
on iPhone and iPod touch. The App is provided by the developer (“we”, “us”)
as a fully offline Sudoku puzzle game.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. The App has no account system, no sign-in, and no cloud sync. We have no way to identify you.
The only information the App handles is game state and preferences stored locally on
your device (in UserDefaults, inside the App's private container):
None of this data is linked to your identity, contains a name, email address, phone number, or any identifier, and none of it ever leaves your device.
The App requests no iOS runtime permissions at all. It does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendars, location, Bluetooth, local network, or notifications, and it does not use App Tracking Transparency.
Short haptic feedback uses the system Taptic Engine through
UIFeedbackGenerator, which requires no permission and returns no information about you.
The App contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no attribution provider, and no crash-reporting service. It never reads the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or any other device identifier.
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose any information to third parties, because no data is collected or transmitted in the first place. The App links no third-party libraries whatsoever.
If you have iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes backup enabled, iOS may include the App's locally stored preferences in your device backup. In that case your game progress and statistics may be copied to your own backup destination, which is controlled entirely by your device settings and your Apple Account. You can disable this at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup. We do not receive or have access to such backups.
All data lives only on your device. You can delete it at any time by:
Starting a new game also discards the previous in-progress puzzle. We hold nothing on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete on request.
SudokuCat is a general-audience puzzle game suitable for all ages and is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App collects no personal data at all, no child-specific information is processed, and no behavioural advertising or profiling is performed. The App is not part of the App Store Kids Category and contains no external links.
Because the App operates entirely offline and stores no personal data, there is no data in transit to protect. Locally stored game state is kept inside the App's private sandbox, which iOS isolates from other applications and which is protected by the device passcode when one is set.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, or deletion regarding your personal data, including rights under the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA. As we hold no personal data, these rights do not apply to any information we process. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You retain full control of the data on your device as described in Section 5.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any material change will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
